Svadhyaya: Self Study

Svadhyaya (self-study) is one of the five Niyamas (duties/observances) in The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali: "Study thy self, discover the divine." When we know who we are, we also know who we are not, and can make choices that align authentically with our values.
